TRA proposes five-year extension of China ceramic kitchenware anti-dumping duties

The Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) has published initial findings proposing to extend anti-dumping duties on Chinese ceramic tableware and kitchenware imports until 16 July 2029. The Statement of Essential Facts indicates dumping would likely continue if measures were removed. Current duties range from 13.1% to 36.1% depending on the exporter. The TRA is accepting comments on the findings until 3 July 2025. The review, initiated on 15 May 2024, examined trade data from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.

Further tariff delay ‘highly likely’, US Treasury Secretary Bessent says

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told a key House committee on 11 June 2025 that it is ‘highly likely’ the Trump administration will continue to suspend the ‘Liberation Day’ tariffs announced in April 2025 past the original 90-day moratorium for certain countries that continue to negotiate with the US.
