Having drafted the Will it is necessary to confirm that it is what the client wants and needs. This Practice Note takes the practitioner from the conclusion of the drafting through to the storage of the executed Will.

1 THE AGREED TIME FRAME  
  1.1 While there may be every intention to comply with an agreed time scale this is not always possible due to illness, holidays and unforseen circumstances, and if this should happen:  
  (a) arrange for another practice member to take on and complete the drafting with safeguards in place to ensure the work is checked  
  (b) contact the client to agree another date, ensuring that this does not put the client at risk  
  (c) ensure the client knows who is now dealing with their matter as soon as possible
