How do I notify Companies House of a partial release of security?

There is no statutory requirement for a chargor (whether a company or a limited liability partnership (LLP)) to notify Companies House that the chargee has fully or partially released a registered charge.

However, it is in the chargor's interests to do so, so that any future creditors searching the register are aware of the release.

Where the chargor is a company, the relevant Companies House form is form MR05 (Statement that part or the whole of the property charged (a) has been released from the charge (b) no longer forms part of the company's property)—see here.
