This Practice Note provides information about, and access to, financial standard orders issued by the President of the Family Division, in his guidance dated 30th November 2017, addendum of 22 January 2018 and 15 May 2018, and guidance dated 9 November 2018, together with related LexisNexis® Family content. The President issued guidance as to the use and status of standard orders within family proceedings, together with two separate batches of orders, on 30 November 2017 (later amended by way of addendum) and 6 June 2018. The issue of the orders followed a series of consultations. The use of the standard orders is not obligatory, but is strongly encouraged. In his guidance dated 30 November 2017, the President said that ‘the time has now come for these draft orders to be placed on a more formal footing’.
