This Practice Note sets out the changes to Practice Directions in the 101st Making Document dated 7 November 2018. The changes bring in a video hearing pilot scheme in CPR PD 51V which applies to applications to set aside default judgments entered under CPR 12 by the County Court for a specified amount of money. It will apply in Manchester and Birmingham Civil Justice Centres between 30 November 2018 and 30 November 2019. The Making document also brings in a technical amendment to CPR PD 2E dealing with the jurisdiction of the County Court which may be exercised by a legal adviser. The CPR PD 2E change is in force from 8 November 2018.
