Term Directive

The EU Term Directive, Directive 2006/116/EC (codified) was intended to harmonise national terms of protection of copyright works which were generally extended to life of the author plus 70 years for copyright works. The EU Term Directive was implemented in the UK by the Duration of Copyright and Rights in Performances Regulations 1995, SI 1995/3297.
