Environmental insurance is a risk transfer solution to indemnify the insured against losses arising as a result of potential environmental liabilities.
There are a range of insurance products available to cover the variety of losses that can potentially arise as a result of environmental liabilities.

Environmental insurance solutions are available to provide cover for a wide range of losses that may arise as a result of an environmental liability. Common losses, for which cover can be arranged, include:
On-site and off-site remediation for investigation, remediation costs, reinstatement of damaged property or services, settlement fees and associated legal expenses caused by contamination being discovered
Third party property damage: for remediation and restoration costs associated with damage to third party property. In addition, cover includes legal expenses, business interruption and diminution in property value as a result of contamination
Third party bodily injury: for costs and expenses incurred by the insured arising from injury to a third party (typically excluding employees of the insured) as a direct result
