Employees

The appointment by the court of a receiver of the company will have the effect of automatically terminating all employee contracts. The employment contracts terminate with immediate effect on the date the order is made or on the date the receiver is appointed.

The employee will usually have a claim for damages for wrongful dismissal, as termination is not likely to be in accordance with their contract of employment.
