Howsons Ltd v Redfearn [2019] EWHC 2540 (TCC) The Technology and Construction Court gave guidance on fixed rates for solicitors in Outer London and proportionality of use of grade A fee earners. The court did not consider the fixed rates for Outer London as fixed, but rather these are guidelines only, which are now considerably out of date, and do not necessarily deal with specialist litigation in the Business and Property Courts. The court had no difficulty in applying the rates as sought, however, this did not mean that heavy reliance on grade A fee earners would be proportionate.  
West v Stockport NHS Foundation Trust; Demouilpied v Stockport NHS Foundation Trust [2019] EWCA Civ 1220 The Court of Appeal gave guidance
