Consultation tracker—Employment

The following Employment practice note provides comprehensive and up to date legal information covering:

  • Consultation tracker—Employment
  • Open consultations
  • Closed consultations—responses being analysed
  • Closed consultations—summary of responses published

The Employment consultation tracker tool displays the current status and most recent developments in relation to consultations, calls for evidence and inquiries (collectively referred to here as 'consultations') being conducted by the UK Government (and other bodies) that have an impact on employment law.

The tracker is split into three parts:

  1. Open consultations

  2. Closed consultations—responses being analysed, and

  3. Closed consultations—summary of responses published

Information on consultations relating to new and draft legislation can also be found in our Legislation tracker—Employment.

For guidance on the issues to consider when assessing the effect of Brexit and IP completion day on any of the consultations set out in this tracker, see Practice Note: Brexit and IP completion day—implications for employment lawyers.

Open consultations

This first part of the consultation tracker shows all consultations, calls for evidence and inquiries that are currently 'open'—ie those in relation to which it is possible to submit comments.

The table is displayed in chronological order by reference to the date on which the consultations are due to close. The next consultation due to close will, therefore, always be displayed as the first entry in the table. It also means that, generally speaking, newer consultations tend to appear towards the end of the list.

Where possible, we have included links to prior consultations that have either directly led to the consultation in question or that are indirectly relevant to it.
