1 January 2021The Hague Convention of 30 June 2005 on Choice of Court Agreements (Hague Convention) enters force for the UK from 1 January 2021; previously the UK was a party to the Hague Convention through its membership of the EU, which has ceased on Brexit. The instrument of accession to the Hague Convention ensures that the UK continues to be bound after the end of the transition period.
