Work equipment definition

What does Work equipment mean?

Any equipment used by an employee at work.

The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, SI 1998/2306 require employers to ensure that all such equipment is suitable for the use to which it is put. Proper assessments of the equipment must be carried out, it must be maintained and suitable training provided to employees.
