GLOSSARY

Eligible jobholder definition

What does Eligible jobholder mean?

Term for someone who is required by law to be auto-enrolled as a member of a company pension scheme.

Not to be confused with a ‘non-eligible jobholder’ who is not required to be a member, but is entitled to a contribution from their employer if they do join, and an ‘entitled worker’ who has the right to join the scheme but is not automatically entitled to have employer contributions paid on his or her behalf if they do.
