Leonardo Robinson

Leonardo is a Senior Associate at Burges Salmon. He began working in the pensions industry in 1988, initially with insurance companies and later for an employee benefits consultancy. Having gained early experience in financial services compliance, from 1996 he specialised in pensions documentation and technical consultancy.

He joined Burges Salmon in 2001 and was admitted as a Solicitor in 2013. He holds the Financial Planning Certificate and the Retirement Provision Certificate.

Leonardo provides advice on non-contentious matters concerning both occupational and personal pensions. His personal pension scheme experience includes:

  • Advising providers about the design and structure of new and existing SIPP schemes
  • Compliance with COBS and CASS
  • Pension product aspects of the sales and acquisitions of SIPP providers
  • Re-drafting documents
  • Advising providers about individual member issues


Leonardo is also an Adviser for the Pensions Advisory Service (TPAS)
