Oliver Lewis

Oliver Lewis was called to the Bar in 2010 and began his career as a commercial chancery barrister. Since moving into private practice, Oliver has advised banks, investment firms, hedge funds and other financial institutions operating in the financial services sector on a wide range of cross-border regulatory and compliance matters, principally their obligations pursuant to the EU regulatory framework (AIFMD, MiFID/MiFID II, EMIR, CRD IV, BRRD, PSD and 2EMD). Oliver also advises on UK and EU consumer credit and mortgage regulation. He has assisted financing companies on the development of new products and advised firms prepare customer documentation in compliance with the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and the Financial Conduct Authority's mortgage conduct of business rules.
