B.     Who has the right

The right to paid time off for pension scheme trustees is available to any employee who is a trustee of the employer's 'relevant occupational pension scheme' (ERA 1996 s 58(1)) or an employee who is director of a company which is a trustee of the 'relevant occupational pension scheme' (s 58(2A)). 'Occupational pension scheme' is defined by s 1 of the Pension Schemes Act 1993, and a 'relevant scheme' is one established under a trust (see ERA 1996 s 58(3)(a)). The right is to
