(6)     'Night time'

'Night time' as defined in the WTD means a period, (a) the duration of which is not less than seven hours; and (b) which includes the period between midnight and 5 am. For the purposes of the WTR, the period is between 11 pm and 6 am, unless a different period (of 7 hours and including the core hours of midnight to 5 am) has been fixed by a relevant agreement. These limitations necessitate that the period cannot begin earlier than 10 pm or end later than 7 am (WTR SI 1998/1833
