(a)     Money payment only

Where a termination payment is made in money alone, it must be dealt with through the PAYE system, where appropriate under Real Time Information. The end of year returns submitted by non-Real Time Information employers (P14 and P35, or P38A: see the Income Tax (Pay As You Earn) Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/2682 regs 73, 74) must show the payments and the amounts of tax deducted, in respect of all employees and each employee.
