I. Protection Against Dismissal and DetrimentWorkers are given specific statutory protection against dismissal, selection for redundancy and being subjected to a detriment where such treatment occurs because: (i) the worker has exercised or intends to exercise their rights under the NMWA 1998; (ii) the employer has been prosecuted for an offence under NMWA 1998 s 31 as a result of action taken by or on behalf of the worker; or (iii) the worker was about to qualify for entitlement to the national minimum wage or a particular rate of the national minimum
