As with part-time workers, this category has perhaps also been considered a type of atypical arrangement but, in common with part-time workers, the problems which they have given rise to in the past have largely been addressed by legislation (see for example the Fixed-Term Employees (Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2002, SI 2002/2034 (see para [156] ff below).
