(4)     Prosecution for breach

Breach of the rules set out in the CYPA 1933 or any byelaws made under it is a criminal offence, leading to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale (CYPA 1933 ss 21 and 23). A prosecution may be brought against the employer and any person (other than the person employed) to whose act or default the contravention is attributable.
