For the purposes of the Income Tax Acts1, the trustees of a settlement are treated as if they were a single person unless the context otherwise requires2. Where all the trustees are UK resident3 the single person so treated is for income tax purposes UK resident4. Conversely where none of the trustees is UK resident the single person so treated is for income tax purposes non-UK resident5
