Where a company1 makes a distribution2 it must make a return to an officer of Revenue and Customs within 14 days from the end of the accounting period3 in which the distribution is made or, if the distribution is made on a date not falling in an accounting period, within 14 days from that date4. Such a return must contain particulars of the transaction giving rise to the distribution, and the name and address of the recipient, or each recipient and the amount or value of the distribution received by the recipient or each recipient5.
