1133. Extrinsic evidence.

Extrinsic evidence may be adduced to show the meaning or effect of the terms of an instrument¹, or that the stamp is insufficient². It is not necessary that the consideration by reference to which ad valorem duty is chargeable on an instrument should be stated in the instrument itself, provided that it is ascertainable at the time the instrument is executed
