Business asset disposal relief (formerly known as entrepreneurs' relief)1 can be claimed to reduce the CGT charge on gains made by an individual and certain trustees (but not companies) on the disposal of all or part of a trade, profession or vocation carried on by an individual alone or in partnership, or on gains made on the disposal of assets following the cessation of such businesses2.
