113. The World Anti-Doping Agency and the World Anti-Doping Code.

The World Anti-Doping Agency was established in 1999 to co-ordinate and harmonise anti-doping testing programmes at an international and national level1. On 1 January 2004 the first World Anti-Doping Code came into effect; it has been superseded by the World Anti-Doping Code (2009) and (2015)2. On 16 November 2017, the 2021 Code review process was initiated3. The Agency's stated roles are to adopt and implement policies and procedure which conform with the code4, to monitor compliance by signatories to the code
