Organisers of sporting events owe a duty to take reasonable care of players, spectators and other visitors at sporting venues where they are occupiers1. In respect of players, organisers may expect them to appreciate and guard against risks incidental to the sport2. The duty extends to all foreseeable risks of injury, including those caused by unauthorised activities3, although certain risks may be so minor that no breach of duty arises from a failure to guard against them
