DBS1 must, on the request of a relevant person2, give up-date information3 to that person about a criminal conviction certificate, a criminal record certificate or an enhanced criminal record certificate, which is subject to up-date arrangements4. This is subject to the proviso that DBS may impose conditions about the information to be supplied in connection with such a request for the purpose of enabling the Secretary of State to decide whether the person is a relevant person5 and any other information to be supplied in connection with such a request
