Where a person ('the offender') is released under Chapter 6 of Part 12 of the Criminal Justice Act 20031 and:
(1) he is, at the time of the release, serving a sentence of detention2 which is for a term of less than 12 months3 and is aged under 18 on the last day of the requisite custodial period4; or
(2) he is, at the time of the release, serving a sentence of detention5 which is for a term of less than 12 months6 and the sentence was imposed in respect of an offence committed before 1 February 20157,
