259. Sums received by designated officer.

Where a designated officer receives sums1 on account of the amount payable under a confiscation order2, the designated officer's receipt of the sum reduces the amount payable under the order, but he must apply the sums received as follows3.

First he must apply them in payment of such expenses incurred by a person acting as an insolvency practitioner as: (1) are payable4; but (2) are not already5 paid6.

If the designated officer received the sums under the provisions relating to enforcement receivers7 or, as from a day to be appointed, the provisions relating to the seizure of personal property8, he must
