21. Serious offences.

An offence is a 'serious offence' for the purposes of the statutory provisions governing the sentencing of dangerous offenders1 if, and only if, it is a violent and/or sexual offence specified for those purposes2 and is usually3 punishable in the case of a person aged 18 or over4 by either:
