520. Sentences and orders triggering notification requirements.

The notification requirements1 apply to a person who in England and Wales2:

  1.  

    (1)     has been convicted of an applicable terrorism offence3 and sentenced in respect of the offence to:

    1.  

      (a)     imprisonment or custody for life4;

    2.  

      (b)     imprisonment or detention in a young offender institution for a term of 12 months or more5;

    3.  

      (c)     imprisonment or detention in a young offender institution for public protection6;

    4.  

      (d)     detention for life or for a period of 12 months or more7;

    5.  

      (e)     a detention and training order for a term of 12 months or more8;

    6.  

      (f)     detention for public protection9
