196. Seized money.

The provisions relating to seized money1 apply to money which:

  1.  

    (1)     is held by a person2 in an account maintained by him with a bank or a building society3;

  2.  

    (2)     is held by a person and has been seized by a constable under his general power4 of seizure5, and is held in an account maintained by a police force with a bank or building society6;

    (3)     is held by a person and has been seized by an officer of Revenue and Customs under his general power7 of seizure8, and is held in an account maintained by the Commissioners for
