A 'residence requirement' is a requirement to reside1 at approved premises2 by virtue of:
(1) a requirement of any court order3;
(2) any condition of a licence4; or
(3) any requirement imposed under statutory supervision5.
Where a person is subject to a residence requirement the provider of the approved premises must not require that person to end his residence before the expiry of the residence requirement unless:
(a) an emergency has arisen6; or
(b) the resident has broken the house rules and that breach has been reported to the applicable person7.
