A person is subject to the notification requirements1 for the duration of the notification period2 (that is to say, he is a 'relevant offender'3) if after 1 May 20044:
(1) he is convicted of a listed offence5;
(2) he is found not guilty of such an offence by reason of insanity6;
(3) he is found to be under a disability and to have done the act charged against him in respect of such an offence7; or
(4) in England and Wales or Northern Ireland, he is cautioned in respect of such an offence
