Where a relevant offender1 is aged under 182 when he is before the court which deals with him in respect of an offence or finding, that court may direct that the obligations that would otherwise be imposed on him in connection with the making of an initial notification3, a notification of change4, a periodic re-notification5 or a notification of departure from or return to the United Kingdom6 are to be treated instead as obligations on the individual or individuals having parental responsibility7 for the offender8.
