96. Making of order in respect of offender residing in Northern Ireland.

A court may not make a youth rehabilitation order¹ in respect of an offender² who resides or will reside in Northern Ireland³ unless:

(1) the number of hours, days or months in respect of which any requirement of the order⁴ is imposed is no greater than the number of hours, days or months which may be imposed by a court in Northern Ireland in respect of a similar requirement in the order which the court proposes to specify⁵ as the corresponding order⁶; and
(2) suitable arrangements for the offender's supervision⁷ can be made by the Probation Board for Northern
