The chief inspector1 may, by notice or otherwise2, instruct specified persons or bodies3 not to carry out, or not to carry out in a particular manner, a proposed inspection of a manager or other person working at approved premises4 if he considers that the proposed inspection would impose an unreasonable burden, or would do so if carried out in that particular manner5.
