Where a defendant absconds1:
(1) and either before or after doing so, he is convicted of an offence or offences in proceedings before the Crown Court2;
(2) after being committed3 to the Crown Court for sentence in respect of an offence or offences4; or
(3) after being committed5 to the Crown Court in respect of an offence or offences with a view to a confiscation order being considered
