Until a day to be appointed1 no court2 may pass a sentence of imprisonment3 on a person for an offence if he is aged under 21 when convicted of an offence4 or commit a person added under 21 to prison for any reason5; as from the appointed day no court may pass a sentence of imprisonment on a person for an offence if he is aged under 18 when convicted, or commit a person aged under 18 to prison6.
