Where a court1 sentences an offender to imprisonment2 or detention3 for a term in respect of an offence4, the offender was remanded on bail by a court in course of or in connection with proceedings for the offence, or any related offence5, after 3 November 20086, and the offender's bail was subject to a qualifying curfew condition7 and an electronic monitoring condition8 (the 'relevant conditions')9, the court must direct that the 'credit period' is to count as time served by him as part of the sentence10.
