Nothing in the statutory provisions relating to the imposition of community sentences1, the imposition of custodial sentences2, pre-sentence reports and other requirements3, or the fixing of fines4 or youth rehabilitation orders with intensive supervision and surveillance5 or youth rehabilitation orders with fostering6:
(1) prevents a court7 from mitigating an offender's sentence8 by taking into account any such matters as, in the opinion of the court, are relevant in mitigation of sentence9;
