Where a sentence of imprisonment1 has been imposed on a person and, by virtue of any enactment2:
(1) the Secretary of State3 is required to, or may, release4 the person from prison5; and
(2) the release is required to be, or may be, subject to conditions (whether conditions of a licence or any other conditions, however expressed)6,
those conditions may include electronic monitoring conditions7. The Secretary of State may make rules about the conditions that may be imposed in this way8.
For these purposes, 'sentence of imprisonment' includes:
(a) a detention and training order9;
(b) a sentence of detention in a
