A relevant offender1 who, as a result of an earlier conviction, finding, caution or court order (the 'earlier event') was subject to the notification requirements2 immediately before a subsequent conviction, finding or caution3 is not required to comply with the initial notification requirements arising in respect of the subsequent matter4 if at that time he had made an initial notification5 in respect of the earlier event6 and throughout the initial notification period
