143. Attendance centre requirement.

'Attendance centre requirement', in relation to a youth rehabilitation order1, means a requirement that the offender must attend at an attendance centre specified in the order for such number of hours2 as may be so specified3. A court may not include an attendance centre requirement in a youth rehabilitation order unless it:


    (1)     has been notified by the Secretary of State that an attendance centre is available for persons of the offender's description and provision can be made at the centre for the offender4; and


    (2)     is satisfied that the attendance centre proposed to be specified is reasonably accessible
