Partly as from a day to be appointed1 'alcohol abstinence and monitoring requirement', in relation to a community order or suspended sentence order2, means a requirement:
(1) that the offender must3 abstain from consuming alcohol4 throughout a specified period5 or must not consume alcohol so that at any time during a specified period there is more than a specified level of alcohol in his body6; and
(2) that the offender must, for the purpose of ascertaining whether the offender is complying with provision under head (1) above, submit during the specified period to monitoring in accordance with specified arrangements7.
