72. Final judgments, reasons and opinions.

The judgment of a Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights1 becomes final2:


    (1)     when the parties declare that they will not request that the case be referred to the Grand Chamber3;


    (2)     three months after the date of the judgment, if reference of the case to the Grand Chamber has not been requested4; or


    (3)     when the panel of the Grand Chamber rejects the request
