20. European Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse.

The Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse1 was adopted by the Council of Europe2 in 2005 for the purpose of:

    (1)     preventing and combating sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of children3;

  2.  

    (2)     protecting the rights of child victims of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse
