819. Lost goods.

Ownership may be acquired by change of possession:

  1.  

    (1)     as against all the world, by occupancy, where a person takes original possession of an ownerless thing1;

  2.  

    (2)     as against all the world, except the true owner, by a finder of lost goods in a public place taking possession of such goods or even in certain circumstances on the premises of another person
