Delivery1 is the voluntary transfer of the possession of goods to another2. Where a movable object is delivered to a person with intent to transfer ownership, for example in the case of gifts3 or sales4, the property in the goods is transferred.
A change of possession does not, however, necessarily involve a change of ownership, as the article may be transferred for a limited purpose only, as in the case of bailments
